Considered one of the most important Arab philosophers, historians and sociologists, Abdelrahman ibn Mohammed ibn Khaldoun is an emblematic scholar of Tunisia. The announcement of the renovation of his birthplace is therefore part of a strategy to preserve the Islamic heritage.

Located in the south of the Medina of Tunis, exactly at Tourbet el Bey street, his birthplace currently houses the archives of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. This initiative is part of a partnership between ISESCO and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs pending further details in the future.
